Hi. I’m Norah Dowling Brink.

The Artist in charcoal.

This here blog type thing is about me, my art, and my life. I add old artwork that I still really like; new art that I like also, actual blog posts, and many other tidbits and things that illustrate who I am as an artist and a person. I paint occasionally, but mostly I draw. Pen and ink is my preferred medium, and to a lesser extent pencil, pastel and charcoal.

I’m now 36. I took some time off to have another kid and stuff. Now I’m back. I’m BAAAAAACK!

I have a husband, a son, a daughter, and a day job. I have no formal art training past high school (although I was accepted to art school at the University of Hartford). This is largely because I chose to pursue a music degree instead. I think my reasoning was that I needed more guidance in learning about music, while I was pretty confident that I could teach myself whatever I didn’t already know about art.

Anyway, here is my life’s work, for your viewing pleasure. All images are copyrighted by me, unless noted otherwise.

Enjoy!
